Welcome to the Rio West Community Church family via our web site. Rio West was birthed in 1988 through the efforts of eight families. Several of those original eight families, including myself and my wife Trish, and several of our children are still working together to further the cause of Christ in Rio Rancho through Rio West Community Church.

From my early years as a Christian, I have always viewed the local Church as a family, a spiritual family. In a family you have moms and dads, brothers and sisters supporting, encouraging, and training one another towards maturity in Christ. Being a family is not always easy and it's rarely without obstacles, but it's way worth the effort. I believe it is one of Rio West's distinctives.

Rio West's vision is to be "a healthy and growing church" partnered together with other Rio Rancho churches towards the goal of city transformation. Jesus said we are the salt and light of the world. We must become healthy, growing disciples of Christ. We must engage and touch every strata of our society with the grace, love, and wisdom of God. The church is the vehicle of God to make disciples. The churches of the city, working in unison, in unity, and in the grace of God can have far greater impact than we can have individually. May God raise up healthy congregations in our city who are willing to set aside petty differences and denominational barriers for the cause of Christ and the greater good of our community.
